If your business has annual retail sales over $100,000 in Colorado, register now for the state’s new streamlined Sales & Use Tax System (SUTS).
This online portal simplifies sales tax collecting and remitting through a single point of remittance and a uniform remittance form. Combined with GIS, it’s a one-stop tool for looking up specific sales tax rates by location, including differing tax rates within the same jurisdiction. And depending on your POS, you may be able to connect the GIS through an API to automatically calculate tax rates for a more streamlined experience.
The CO Department of Revenue will be expanding SUTS to include more businesses in 2021.
